The rules and regulations of Installment Icarus are built upon three pillars, respect, responsibility, and rectitude.

Respect: Our goal is that every member is thoughtful of each other, creating a welcoming environment for all members of the community, regardless of their experience.

Responsibility: As a member of this faction you are expected to act upon yourself and others in accordance to the rules of the community.

Rectitude: We aim to maintain a moral and righteous community, wherein the thoughts and actions of the members are just and fair.

SR-1.1: Treat people how you would like to be treated.

SR-1.2: Discord and Steam's TOS must be followed at all times.

SR-1.3: Be respectful and consider others. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and personal preferences. Discourse over a whether persons views, opinions, feelings, beliefs, ect, are 'correct' will not be tolerated.

SR-1.4: Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited. Any form of discrimination, whether it be of race, religion, gender, sex, class, etc., has no place within this community.

SR-1.5: The usage of derogatory language is strictly prohibited. Whether it regards race, religion, gender, sex, class, etc., has no place within this community. 

SR-2.1: Talk of politics (of a sensitive subject matter) is expected to be kept civil. Individuals are expected to not harass, threaten, or intimidate others on the basis of others views or, of the world or, of the topic at hand. No point during a civil discussion should either party become hostile towards another. If a discussion becomes an argument, it should be taken outside the server. If it should continue within the server, it is no longer tolerable and therefore punishable.

SR-2.2: Hate speech is not free speech. If a member feels you are being disrespectful, discriminatory, prejudicial, etc., they are entitled to report you to an administrator for review. 

SR-2.3:  All members have a duty to maintain a safe environment for themselves and their peers. All members of this faction should know they are safe, and should not be afraid to speak out when a person is attacked, hurt, or socially outcast by others. Fear mongering, harassment, hazing, and such alike is susceptible to punishment based on severity and is not tolerated in this community.

SR-2.4: The spreading of misinformation and rumors as a whole, is strictly forbidden. If reporting others for misconduct it is important to stick to what you know, and include others as witnesses to protect from bias and false statements. Spreading false information or altered news and purposefully creating distress or discourse is not acceptable. There are no truths in half-truths. 

SR-3.1: Extensive explicit language is prohibited. Moderation should be considered when speaking vulgarly. Please do not use “Fuck” every other word. 

SR-3.2: Gore, in any context, is prohibited on this server. The only exceptions are extended to: Movie nights, where a movie features graphic scenes; and in-game gore for the purposes of professional photography (Common examples include Ready or Not, ArmA 3, Squad, Six days in Fallujah). Any content of gore posted outside of these exceptions will not be tolerated.

SR-3.2: Pornographic and suggestive material is not tolerated within this server. Any links or images alike that lead to such is subject to punishment and will result in immediate action. If you wouldn’t show it to your parents, don’t post it. 

SR-4.1: Posting suspicious links or files will not be tolerated. Those who are caught posting such content will be immediately reported to Discord’s moderation team and be removed from the server permanently.

SR-4.2: Illegal activities such as DOS, DDOS, or DOX attacks will not be tolerated within this server and will have you removed from the server permanently. 

SR-5.1: All members have a duty to maintain their personal dignity. We ask that you follow these guidelines in and outside the server as a way of upholding our community values. We do not expect you to follow each one to a ‘T’, but rather to be respectful in and outside the server. Misbehavior in and outside this server can and will be punished based on severity, as every member of this server reflects our values and we wish to avoid those who do not reflect what we uphold. 

SR-5.2: By being a member of this community, you are compulsory in agreement to being recorded inside the server via Voice chat, text, operations, or engaging in any other way with this server. This agreement is to ensure that people can participate and create clips / videos without worry of another party without consent and for reviews of the moderation team when deemed necessary.
